Arnold should give Prop 11 money back to Ponzi schemer
Technically, the money went to the Prop 11 campaign, but Prop 11 was Arnold's pet project. Nobody gives that amount of money for "better government", especially from Florida, and it's very likely that Rothstein wouldn't have given the money if Arnold hadn't personally flown to the Sunshine State to ask for contributions.
Arnold's spokesman Aaron McLear said that Schwarzenegger asked Florida Gov. Crist to help him raise money for the Proposition 11 campaign and flew to Florida for the event Crist organized. "The governor met Rothstein at the event," McLear said, and that was where a photo of Arnold-with-Rothstein was taken, which federal agents found during their raid of Rothstein's offices.
We all know that Arnold can afford to pay back the tainted money. And the gov has a personal obligation to return the money or give it to charity, since Prop 11 was his pet project, and the people contributing to it were doing it for Arnold, not just for the "betterment of California."
