Caps & Gowns March on Arnold’s Schnitzel Shop

Published on

There was a time when Arnold
would have been an honored guest and keynote speaker at graduation
ceremonies. This afternoon, though, 200 professors and students in caps
and gowns marched on Schwarzenegger’s Santa Monica offices and the
restaurant he founded below them, Schatzi on Main. Their signs read
"Fee Hikes = Tax on Students" and " Higher Education is Not a Perk".
The California Faculty Association — which organized the protest over
Schwarzenegger’s budget cuts to higher education — riled diners under
the watchful eye of a dozen cops. As the gowns groan maybe Arnold will
start to learn his lesson.
