Low Cost Auto Insurance
Every state requires that all drivers be insured, but, for many low-income motorists, the cost of auto insurance is too high to maintain coverage. As a result, millions of Americans drive without auto insurance. They risk stiff penalties, car impoundment and license suspension. Those who buy policies face high uninsured motorist premiums and accident claims going unpaid as a result of the uninusred motorist problem.
Consumer Watchdog, working with California lawmakers, created the nation's most innovative approach to addressing the problem. The California Low-Cost Auto Program, the first and only of its kind in the nation, offers a very inexpensive, basic auto insurance policy to low-income drivers with good driving records. This groundbreaking policy, which costs taxpayers nothing, is now available in all California counties and costs less than $400 per person, per year.
You can call 1-866-602-8861 to find a neighborhood agent who can sell you a Low Cost policy.
